We invite everyone to worship with Holy Communion on Sunday, August 13 at 9:30 am.  

Our Interim Pastor, the Rev. Lisa Ruth Mays, will offer the morning message

"Get Out of the Boat"

based on Genesis 37:1-4, 12-28; Psalm 105:1-6, 16-22, 45b; and Matthew 14:22-33.

Special Music will be offered by Nancy Haynes and Helen Rosa.

We welcome Gayle Olsen as our organist/ pianist for the day.

All are welcome to worship and fellowship!

The service features organ and piano music and hymns. 

A special bulletin for the young and young at heart is available.

Coloring Sheets are available for children and adults wishing to "Pray in Color"!

Our service will be held in the Sanctuary.

 All are welcome!

 

Children's Bulletins are available which relate to the scripture for the day.

Child care is available following the Children's Time but children are welcome to remain in worship. Children's Activity Bags are available.

Summer Mission Emphasis - Food Bank

Bountiful Giving Sunday - August 27

  

"Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon." Isaiah 58:10 NLT

 

Sunday School Resumes September 10.


 

First Presbyterian Church is commitmented to our local Food Bank! Contributions are accepted here at First Presbyterian Church in the bins in the Narthex and across from the church office. Help us fill the shelves of the food bank!

PRIMARY NEEDS of the FOOD BANK

Canned fruits, vegetables, soup, meat products, meals (Chili, Pork & Beans, Spaghettios), peanut butter, crackers, jelly, dry pasta – all kinds – and sauces, cereal, rice, dry or canned beans, juice.

Any kind of mixes – including baking mix, pasta mix, rice mix, potato mix, pudding, and Jell-O, condiments, flour, sugar, and seasonings.

Food Bank donations may be left in the box across from the office door or in the narthex. 

Cash donations are always welcome. Please make checks out to First Presbyterian Church and drop in the offering plate (clearly marked food bank) or leave in the church office.
