What We Offer

Holiday Bazaar

The Holiday Bazaar will take place again in 2023.

Church World Service Kits

Watch the Church Life for the next CWS Kit assembly gathering date then bring your heart for mission and fellowship and meet in the church in the Conference Room!  Each health kit takes a hand towel, wash cloth, bar of soap, tooth brush, nail clippers, wide tooth comb, and 10 Band-Aids. These items are placed in a gallon size Ziploc plastic bag. We have a good supply of all items but will take any donations.

2022 Mission Stockings are now available in baskets throughout the church. Pick your favorite one out today and start filling it according to the instructions with the stocking. If you are unable to make it to church to pick up a stocking, please let the church office know and one will be mailed to you upon request. Please return any unused stockings to any mission stocking basket throughout the church or drop off at the church office.

Following the poem, the total amount to fill a stocking is $7.80. The money will be divided equally between Habitat for Humanity and Hospice. If you need a stocking, please contact the church office.  Stockings (filled or unused) may also be left in the church office.

If you have any questions, please contact Darcy in the church office.

Thanks to everyone for their help and support in these missions.

CWS School Kits

We will again be filling the Church World Service School Kits. Prayerfully consider filling a kit or purchasing items towards filling a kit and drop them off at the church office.  Items needed include:

• One 30-centimeter ruler (12")
• One hand-held pencil sharpener
• One large eraser
• Six new pencils with erasers
• One box of 24 crayons (only 24)
• One 12" x 14" to 14" x 17" finished size cotton or lightweight canvas bag with cloth handles. (Please, no reusable shopping bags or backpacks.) School bag pattern available in the church office and on the church website.
• Pack all items inside the cloth bag.
We especially need donations of 70-count spiral notebooks, school bags or fabric to be used to make the bags. See Darcy in the church office if you have any questions.

Any items for these kits that you would like to contribute are greatly appreciated. Completed kits or items for the kits may be left in the church office.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration and response.

The First Presbyterian Church Mission family will deliver another “batch” of the Church World Service Mission School Bag and Hygiene Kits. Last year, 16 completed school kits and 265 complete hygiene kits were delivered to the drop off point for collection!!

A huge "Thank You" to everyone who helps to supply all the items and cash donations for the school bags and hygiene kits, and to those who supply school bags and made school bags and those who help assemble and box kits for delivery to the drop off point. We are very grateful to the Presbyterian Women of the Presbytery of Susquehanna Valley for providing the processing/shipping costs for these kits.

The Church World Service Kits (Hygiene Kits, School Kits) are an ongoing mission project at First Presbyterian Church of Delhi. If you would like to help out, contact Darcy in the church office. Cash donations are always being accepted to offset the cost of items we can order in bulk. Donations can be left in the church office or placed in the offering plate, clearly marked “CWS Kits”.

Adult Lap Blankets, Pillowcases & Prayer Shawls

Hospitals are deeply appreciative of your talents and generosity. Their main goal is to see that they can use all of what is given while utilizing their storage areas to the fullest potential.

We have recently sent off adult lap blankets and prayer shawls to area hospitals in need for use in the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units.

Through your efforts we were able to send many pillowcases, hats, blankets and prayer shawls. Thanks to all.

REMINDER: We are still accepting hats, blankets, prayer shawls and pillowcases to be donated to area hospitals for children in ICU and neonatal intensive care unit. Keep those knitting needles and crochet hooks busy! If you need a pattern, please stop by the church office. Completed hats, blankets and pillowcases can be left in the Hospitality room and they will be picked up and taken to Albany or another hospital in need. Thank you for your ongoing support of this mission.
